The clear night, so distant from any light pollution, had summoned every star in the sky to shine.

We humans progressively exterminate every support mechanism. The earth progressively degenerates toward a form of quadriplegia, completely impotent to protect all it sustains.

We are not killing the planet. It is our arrogance that makes us believe we are capable of such destruction. The earth will be here at the end of it all, long after we're gone. The only thing the human race is destroying is our ability to inhabit it.
